Karibu Mural

Libby finished the mural in the entrance to Amani. It's been a big hit with the kids and staff. I snapped this photo of her standing with her work last week.

Mural Update

Here's a picture of the mural last week. As of now it is 99% finished. I just have to add a black border and clean up some areas which have little black finger prints.

Mural Week One

I have started painting! So far so good. At first it seemed to be going pretty quickly, but I haven't gotten a chance to work on it since last Friday, and then I was just doing a second coat on the yellow so it didn't really feel like progress. 

The kids are being pretty good about it. They like to watch and all want to help, so I'm saying "hapana, asante" a lot (no, thank you).

"Karibu" means welcome and the mural is located in the entry wall of Amani. The white blob in the middle is an elephant, but I'm saving painting that for last.
